Editor Jeremy Verdusco recently wrote about drilling’s environmental reputation. What can the drilling industry do to improve public perceptions of it being a “dirty” technology?

Ignore the critics. People fear what they don’t understand.

Own it. Drilling is messy, but if you can’t grow it you have to drill for it.

Make the case. Educate the public on the benefits of drilling.

Keep standards high. Less waste and impact mean a better reputation.
