Today, Las Vegas beckons. I wrap up a few loose ends at the office, then later this afternoon I get on a plane for the gaudiest city in the United States (and I mean that in an endearing way). If you plan to attend the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association's annual conference and expo, I'll see you there.
The conference program looks interesting. They have member updates and state-of-the-industry sessions, case studies, marketing tips to grow business and, of course, training sessions. Architect Eric Corey Freed, of the firm organicARCHITECT, offers the keynote early Wednesday. For a preview, check out my two part interview with Freed here and here. But, don't take my words for it: Attend his session. I can tell you he has a sense of humor and that I expect his talk to fully engage the audience (even at 9 a.m.)
I hope to score another interview or two at the conference, so stay tuned to this space. You can also follow along on our Twitter and Facebook pages. I'll post photos there from the sessions. Speaking of social media ... you should really join our LinkedIn group. I comb the Web for the most interesting drilling related stories, and post them there with original stories from the National Driller website and magazine. But, occasionally, a gem like this pops up from one of the members. Do yourself a favor and take five minutes to watch. You won't regret it and you’ll hum a Toto hit from the ’80s on the jobsite all day.
Don't forget to stop by the National Driller booth at IGSHPA and introduce yourself. I enjoy meeting readers, especially if they have story ideas (but even if they don't).
Stay safe out there, drillers.
