Atlas Copco was recognized by the annual Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World index, known as the Global 100 list, as one of the world’s most sustainable companies. 

 Atlas Copco reported healthy operating profit, revenue and orders received for the fourth quarter despite continued weak demand for mining equipment.

Originally a pile driving company, Hub Foundation Company of Harvard, Mass., first added wide-diameter bore drilling to its operations 23 years ago. Greg Maxwell, grandson of company founder Frank Maxwell, said Hub has always persevered through each hard rock socket, but they have continually sought easier, faster ways to drill out hard rock.

 Industry giant Atlas Copco predicted steady near-term demand as it reported in late October healthy profits for the third quarter.
