Franklin Electric Co., Inc. (NASDAQ: FELE), a global provider of water and fueling systems, has broadened its wastewater product portfolio with the launch of three new pumps designed for sump, effluent, and sewage grinding applications.
The expansion marks a strategic move by the Fort Wayne-based manufacturer to meet rising demand in both residential and light commercial wastewater management. The newly introduced Franklin Electric FPS Wastewater Pumps are engineered for durability and high performance, maintaining the company’s commitment to reliability in tough conditions.
“These products will give installers the rugged pumping power they need in a wastewater pump that lives up to Franklin Electric’s reputation for quality and performance,” said Dan Sloan, Business Development Manager for Wastewater.
The new FPS pump models include:
- FBSE33 – A sump and light effluent pump with a cast iron impeller capable of handling solids up to 3/8-inch. It offers vertical and wide-angle switch options.
- FE50HH – A ½-horsepower effluent pump with ¾-inch solids handling and the choice of 30- or 50-foot power cords.
- FG100 – A robust 1-horsepower grinder pump built to handle heads up to 50 feet or flows up to 50 gallons per minute.
All three models are constructed with epoxy-coated cast iron impellers and motor housings, enhancing efficiency and extending pump life by minimizing heat buildup during operation.
In a further nod to reliability, Franklin Electric subjects every unit to wet testing—fully submerging and running each pump before it leaves the factory floor.
“By testing the products in this way, the FPS Wastewater lineup assures installers get the performance they need, even in the most challenging applications,” Sloan added.
This product line extension strengthens Franklin Electric’s foothold in the wastewater sector, offering trusted solutions for a growing range of environments and needs.
