New platform aims to streamline collaboration and enhance decision-making in mining and geoscience industries
Seequent, The Bentley Subsurface Company, has launched Seequent Evo, a cloud-based platform designed to centralize geoscience data, improve collaboration, and accelerate decision-making. The platform integrates data from both Seequent and third-party applications, ensuring users can seamlessly share information, analyze past projects, and work with real-time updates.
By consolidating geoscience data into a single, accessible source, Evo enhances workflow efficiency, minimizes data loss, and provides a foundation for future innovations, including AI and machine learning applications. Its geospatial search capabilities leverage technology from Cesium, a part of Seequent’s parent company, Bentley Systems.
Evo arrives at a critical moment for industries such as mining, where demand for critical minerals is rising amid a shortage of geologists. By integrating subsurface teams and data, Evo streamlines workflows, optimizes resource extraction, and helps minimize environmental impacts.
“Our vision for Seequent Evo is to unite disconnected teams and data, creating an open platform that is also the foundation for new mining innovations,” said Graham Grant, CEO of Seequent. “Breaking down silos unlocks the full potential of underutilized data and empowers organizations to make faster, better-informed decisions that drive their success.”
Applications Powered by Seequent Evo
Alongside the platform, Seequent has introduced two applications tailored for the mining industry:
BlockSync – A real-time collaboration tool for managing and analyzing block model data, helping mine operations make strategic and operational decisions with confidence.
Driver – A machine-learning-powered exploratory data analysis tool that assists geologists in understanding geological structures and refining 3D models with minimal manual effort.
Winsome Resources, a global lithium explorer, is among the early adopters of Evo. Holly Zhu, Exploration Geologist at Winsome Resources, praised the platform: “Seequent Evo has streamlined our processes and improved workflow efficiency. Centralizing data in the Seequent cloud reduces data loss and errors, providing access to the latest information. Sharing data across regions keeps everyone aligned.”
With Seequent software already trusted by eight of the world’s 10 largest mining companies, the launch of Evo represents a major step in redefining geoscience collaboration and data management for the future.
