The committees from the 19th Congress overseeing federal clean water and green energy policy have wrapped up their assignments and organizational tasks. Those panels have already held informational and legislative hearings, as well as business meetings.

The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources 

The Committee on Energy and Natural Resources has jurisdiction over water and energy issues. It has four subcommittees: the Subcommittee on Energy; the Subcommittee on National Parks; the Subcommittee on Public Lands, Forests, and Mining; and the Subcommittee on Water and Power.

The full committee’s leadership is Chair Mike Lee (R-Utah); and Ranking Member Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.).

The Committee on Environment and Public Works has jurisdiction over environmental policy including research and development.
