Quebec City, QC – The Canadian Geothermal Students' Days are back for their 5th edition, set to take place from September 4-9, 2024, at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS - ETE) in Quebec City. This national conference brings together students, researchers, industry professionals, and geothermal energy advocates to explore the latest advancements in geothermal knowledge and technology, with a strong focus on Canada's energy transition.
The event will feature a diverse lineup of activities, including site visits, keynote presentations, student talks, industry panels, and networking sessions, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape and future potential of geothermal energy in Canada. Keynote speakers include Peter Massie, Director of the Geothermal Energy Office at the Cascade Institute, Dr. Alan Bischoff, Senior Geothermal Scientist at the Geological Survey of Finland, and Nathalie Tremblay, President of Marmott Énergies.
This year's conference is expected to attract participants from leading institutions across Canada and beyond, including Yukon University, University of Alberta, and McGill University, as well as international representatives from Germany and Colombia.
