Monitoring device manufacturer Doran has introduced their YardCheck 360, a system designed to help operators of off-road fleets rein in tire costs. The system creates a wireless coverage zone across a facility. Fleet managers get notified if a monitored tire within the zone experiences low pressure, high temperature or a rapid deflation. Armed with this data, fleet managers can prevent downtime and cut operating costs through timely repairs and corrections.
The YardCheck 360 Gate Reader collects data in the cloud from monitored tires every 15 minutes for powered-on equipment and once per day for powered-off equipment. Users can view current and historical tire pressure and temperature data, and set up alerts to pre-defined users to correct tire issues faster.
In a release, Doran says this visibility helps extend trend life, protect casings, and improve fleet safety by minimizing run flats and catastrophic tire failures.
Doran YardCheck 360 tire-monitoring systems are available for all size and type fleets – from owner-operators to international fleets, including truck/trailers, ready mix/concrete, dump/construction, delivery vehicles, waste and recycling, Hazmat, auto haulers, first responders, people transportation, bulk materials handling, and more. Doran also provides multiple options for fleet managers and equipment maintenance teams to receive real-time tire alerts as well.
Doran Manufacturing develops and manufactures a full lineup of tire-monitoring systems for over-the-road vehicles, agricultural equipment, off-road and earth-moving equipment, as well as other products. They are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified and recently earned a silver rating from EcoVadis for sustainability initiatives.
