“I’ve said this before, but all the big companies still have old-school, cable-tool rigs for swabbing and brushing and surging,” Yordy says. “There’s not a better way to develop a screen — in shallow formations obviously.”
Yordy also recommends seeking out knowledge from veteran cable-tool operators, so we can preserve and perpetuate these skills for the next generation.
