This episode gets into disposal. Getting rid of cuttings by land spreading on the surface used to be more commonplace. Bob wants to know if disposing of drill cutting and fluids this way is still acceptable. It’s Ask Brock 224. 

In-house drilling expert Brock Yordy says the answer to that question is like many things: It depends. 

“The biggest piece to this,” he explains, “is I don’t want to end up negatively impacting the environment, or giving the drilling industry a black eye from doing something we shouldn’t be doing.
