Yaskawa America Inc. plans to display the company’s intelligent drive and drive control products at Groundwater Week, Dec. 14 -16, 2021, in Nashville, Tennessee.
In a release, the company says product experts will be on hand at booth 754 to answer questions about its offerings, including the iQpump AC drive family, which Yaskawa calls “the most advanced, comprehensive pump and motor protection in the industry.”
Yaskawa says the drives are designed with pump operators and service technicians in mind. They feature intuitive, integrated pump specific software and setup parameters that allow operators to easily program control values for a wide range of applications, including constant pressure, accurate flows, controlled acceleration/deceleration, multiple pump booster systems, and more.
Products on display will include:
The U1000 iQpump Low-Harmonic Intelligent Pump Drive, which the company says incorporates its award-winning Matrix technology to directly convert input AC voltage to output AC voltage. Ideally suited for water pumping applications, this drive provides extremely low harmonic distortion, energy savings, and serviceability in a space-saving design. The U1000 iQpump meets all IEEE 519 standards out of the box.
The Single Phase Converter: Yaskawa’s SPC offers clean and efficient variable-speed motor control with single-phase power. Through digital drive technology, the SPC addresses common challenges with AC motors powered from single-phase input, such as reliability, frequent tuning and inefficient power use. For example, the SPC eliminates the need to oversize variable-frequency drives (VFDs) for single-phase applications while reducing distortion to less than 10% iTHD. SPC DC output is ideal for single- or multiple-drive installations.
Yaskawa America’s Drives & Motion Division manufactures industrial automation equipment, including low- and medium-voltage variable-speed drives, servo motors and amplifiers, machine controllers, spindle drives and motors, and low-voltage industrial switch products.
