Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH), a non-profit organization that helps oilfield families in financial crisis, announced a new partnership with BJ Services’ Team BJ Foundation.
Team BJ Foundation was established after Hurricane Harvey as an employee-funded financial hardship resource for BJ employees in crisis. Through this partnership, OHH will provide administration, which includes receiving and reviewing applications for assistance and distribution of funds. BJ will be an active corporate member of OHH through participation in fundraising events and sponsorships.
William (Bill) Markus, executive director, OHH, says, “Our drive has always been to give back to our industry and the great people within the oilfield. The vision, goals, and objectives of Team BJ Foundation are aligned with our mission, and we are thrilled to work alongside this generous company.”
“We are excited to establish a partnership with an organization like Oilfield Helping Hands,” says Warren Zemlak, CEO, BJ Services. “Together, our goal is to have a positive impact on our team members, their families and the communities in which we operate.”
Oilfield Helping Hands is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, established in Houston in 2003. OHH helps oilfield families in financial crisis due to no fault of their own. Since its inception, the organization has provided more than $4.5 million to industry workers and their families. In 2017, OHH mobilized into action after Hurricane Harvey and was able to provide more than $350,000 to 217 families. OHH continues to work in the most economical fashion to maximize the funds available to recipients each year. For more information, visit www.oilfieldhelpinghands.org.
