Pipe Tools manufacturer Wheeler-Rex has rolled out a new line of updated snippers and tubing cutters.

The company calls the new Model 4992 Tubing Cutter the flagship of the line of hand tools. It cuts pipe outer diameters from ¼ inch to 2⅔ inches. It requires minimal clearance for plumbing, air conditioning and commercial boiler work in confined spaces.

The Model 4992 cuts non-ferrous tubing and plastic pipe using the included wheel cutter for plastic. It also cuts thin wall materials like traps and tailpieces with no distortion. The Close-Quarters Tubing Cutter prevents sawing, so you avoid loose joints.

Wheeler-Rex says the new design allows contractors to quickly and easily switch cutting wheels. Users can switch out wheels with an easy, push-pin feature. No special tools are required.
