Franklin Electric has appointed Jonathan M. Grandon as chief administrative officer and general counsel of the company. Grandon will be responsible for the legal and human resource functions of the company, in addition to leading business development activities.

Grandon was most recently senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Biomet Inc., a multi-national health care and medical device company. He has also been a partner in the Chicago office of Ropes & Gray LLP. Prior to that Grandon was a partner at Mayer Brown LLP. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
