The new Aquavar e-ABII pump controller is a constant pressure booster system from Goulds Water Technology, a Xylem brand, is specifically designed for customers of municipal water districts with low water pressure, or if they are boosting from a storage tank.

The Aquavar e-ABII provides an economical answer for both residential and commercial customers who need to increase their water pressure when water demand is high. As water flows to a house, it loses some of its pressure to friction inside the pipe. The higher the flow, the more the friction reduces the homeowner’s water pressure. This flow increase can be caused by more homes and businesses on a given water main, the size of a piping system or increased water use inside the house.

As water use increases, the Aquavar e-ABII changes pump speed to keep line pressure constant. Large supply tanks are eliminated and up to 50 percent of the energy required by a full speed pump is saved.

Aquavar e-ABII is available with a range of flow rates to handle residential homes, irrigation systems and office buildings.

For many customers of municipal water districts, low or inconsistent water pressure can be a problem when they have any combination of multiple bathrooms, irrigation systems, dishwashers, washing machines, pools and spas. In addition, peak water demand on the line can reduce main line pressure available. Homes built on hills or at the end of the water line are very susceptible to this problem. Aquavar e-ABII aims to solve all these problems by supplying constant pressure.
