Goulds Water Technology has redesigned its high-capacity 4-inch submersible pump series with the e-GS, replacing its GS high-capacity line.
The borehole pump is specifically designed for use in 4-inch and larger wells and is particularly relevant to irrigation systems, domestic and industrial water supply, geothermal and fountain applications.
The series has a floating stack advanced hydraulic design that allows sand and abrasives to pass easily, reducing life cycle costs and improving efficiency by as much as 13 percent over previous models.
Its stainless steel pump casing provides corrosion resistance, extending product life and sustaining performance. It can be coupled to 4-inch or 6-inch NEMA standard submersible motors for greater flexibility. Newly designed impeller and diffuser combinations improve efficiency and performance, allowing for higher pressures per given horsepower, with flows up to 120 gpm and head up to 1,400 feet.
Xylem, based in Rye Brook, N.Y., serves the public utility, residential, commercial and agricultural markets with a variety of pump and water treatment products. The company has about 12,500 employees worldwide. For more information, visit www.xyleminc.com.
