The Acker R.A.D. (Restricted Access Drill) is designed to tram in areas that many drilling rigs are unable to access. Measuring in at 33½ inches wide in its fully retracted state, it can safely travel through a regular size man door. It is available with an electric power option, allowing the drill to be zero emission and environmentally friendly. The entire drill is mounted on a structural steel frame and is self-propelled by 9-inch rubber crawler tracks with independent reversible hydraulic motor drive. The main feed consists of a chain drive mechanism with options of a 3-, 7-or 11-foot feed, through a planetary hydraulic drive unit.
