David Bloodworth has retired from Central Mine Equipment (CME) Company after more than 36 years as a part of the sales force. He started with the company in 1979 and his retirement was effective Sept. 15, 2015.

Bloodworth began his career with CME as a member of the parts and service department. He handled customer calls from the field and later became involved with the outside sales staff as well, assisting in their efforts to promote CME rig sales. Bloodworth became specialized in all aspects of international sales.  

Eventually, he was appointed manager of the product support department, where he hired and trained the new product support staff while continuing to assist in all areas of sales and service. In 1997, Bloodworth was promoted to CME sales manager, the position he held until retiring.

His attention to detail set the standard for those who will carry on the CME tradition, the company says.

Central Mine Equipment Company manufactures a wide range of drills that can be mounted on trucks, rubber tire ATVs, tracked carriers, trailers and skids.
