James “Jim” Jackson, president and CEO of Alloy Machine Works Inc. of Houston, has received the Manufacturers Division Special Recognition Award from the National Ground Water Association (NGWA).
The award recognizes Jackson’s contributions to the groundwater industry from the manufacturing sector. It will be presented during the 2015 Groundwater Expo in Las Vegas, set for Dec. 15-17.
In recommending Jackson to NGWA’s awards committee, his nominator said, “Jim has been in the water well industry for almost 30 years. What makes Jim special and so deserving of this award is that he has excelled at almost every level of this business including being a manufacturer’s direct sales representative, an independent manufacturer’s representative, a project manager, and now owner of Alloy Machine Works. When other companies in our industry have had to reduce or cut down, Jim’s business has continued to grow. He has also supported our industry both nationally and locally, and currently is the president of the Texas Ground Water Association Manufacturers Board.”
In being chosen for the award, Jackson said among the accomplishments of which he is most proud is that his company has provided water well screens for municipal, irrigation, and domestic wells to customers around the world including in Africa, Canada, Central America, Colombia, Israel, and Russia.
