Industrial Test Systems Inc. (ITS) has added automatic calculations to their smart device application for the eXact iDip. Calculations for langlier saturation index (LSI) and magnesium hardness have been added.
The eXact iDip with Bluetooth Smart technology is a handheld photometer that pairs directly with a smartphone/tablet. It allows the ability to test more than 35 water quality parameters through an ingeniously simple four-step process.
The device will seamlessly interpret data collected by the user, calculate the desired values, and display the values both on the device and in the application. Prior to this technology those using LSI as an indicator for water safety had to conduct each test and manually perform a series of calculations in order to determine their LSI value. Now that is no longer the case. Since the eXact iDip photometer communicates wirelessly with the application, any updates to the software are automatically applied without any need to upgrade the existing hardware.
The latest version of the eXact iDip application has received upgrades that make the user experience simpler and more cost effective. Wireless communication with Bluetooth Smart (4.0) allows for instantaneous software updates/upgrades, market versatility and customization. Through the eXact iDip App, testing location data and test results can be stored with its GPS-enabled feature, allowing for efficient data management and real-time sharing.
