Champion Equipment Sales, which serves the equipment needs of the foundation drilling and construction industries, has hired Neil Sampson as area manager for the western Canada region.
“Neil has spent his entire career in foundation drilling with a focus on equipment maintenance operations,” said Champion Equipment Sales General Manager Steve Wilson. “So he knows the equipment thoroughly. And he knows how to efficiently manage and expand service operations. We’re really happy that he’s going to provide his expertise to our western Canadian customers.”
Sampson will coordinate sales, parts and technical support, training and other functions for Champion’s equipment portfolio, which includes Champion Equipment Company, Soilmec, Leffer, TEI Rock Drills and Wilson Tools. His territory covers British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Sampson’s experience includes time as a heavy equipment mechanic with Finning Caterpillar in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and as senior maintenance planner in North American Construction Group’s piling division. In the latter position, he oversaw a fleet of 135 heavy equipment vehicles and 130 light equipment vehicles. This included supervising repairs and preventative maintenance.
“I’m very familiar with Soilmec rigs and technologies,” Sampson said. “I look forward to being part of the industry-leading team that provides quality equipment and after-sales support to the western United States and Canada.”
