NUMA is offering a new a non-toxic, biodegradable alternative to existing rock drill oils, NUMA Enviro Lube.
It is ideal for drilling applications where petroleum distillates are not allowed to lubricate the downhole hammer. NUMA Enviro Lube is best suited for use with 3½- to 6-inch downhole hammers in water well and environmental drilling applications. It makes drilling in tough areas easier while keeping the environment safe.
The new lube does not need to be continuously fed like rock drill oils. It is supplied in a paste form that comes in a 10-ounce tube. Utilizing a caulking gun or similar device, drillers can simply inject lube into the hammer by squeezing the tube.
Thanks to its long-lasting lubrication properties, one 10-ounce tube of NUMA Enviro Lube applied multiple times is said to achieve 1,000 to 1,500 feet of drilling. The new product’s fewer applications and high lubrication quality can help increase the hammer life and efficiency, leading to greater savings for drillers.
