The FXT60 is equipped with a 74-horsepower engine and offers 1,027 cfm of suction power. It also comes with a high-pressure water system that features a 5.5-gpm, 3,000-psi water pump. When the water isn’t in use, its auto-clutching feature disengages the water pump so full system power can be applied to suction.

Despite its power, Ditch Witch calls the FXT60 one of the quietest truck vacs in the industry. Its fully enclosed, insulated and lockable power pack keeps it at 82 dBA sound pressure.

Since it can be mounted directly to a truck’s frame rails, its components are able to flex independently of the truck, which increases structural integrity. In addition, the FXT60’s lower center of gravity and saddle-style tanks provide even weight distribution.

It is available on a class 6 or 7 single-axle, or a class 8 tandem-axle truck. When coupled with a tandem rear-axle truck the vacuum excavator offers maximum towing capacity. Such a configuration can cut equipment and fuel expenses because it’s built to handle heavy spoils while towing a trailer.

Drillers have the option of equipping the FXT60 with a hydraulic boom that extends 14 feet to save time and labor. Buyers can also choose between two tank configurations.
