Atlas Copco showcased its oil and gas drilling equipment at the 2014 Permian Basin International Oil Show (PBIOS) in Odessa, Texas on Oct. 21-23.

“This is a very exciting time for us here at Atlas Copco,” says Delaney Erickson, business development specialist for oil and gas products. “We have a long history of success in air drilling and with our line of drilling rigs. The new Atlas Copco lines of premium PDC bits, Klaw bits and Plugmaster drill-out bits complete the package with the latest technologies for our customers.”

The line of products on display included tooling, air compressors, boosters and rigs. The Atlas Copco booth included new PDC, Klaw, and plug drill bits. It also featured air packages and RD20 drill rig demonstrations. The RD20 is a truck-mounted drill rig with120,000 pounds of pullback.

Attendees were also able to view the new XRVS 1550+ compressor that produces 1,550 cfm and delivers air at 500 psi. Other high-pressure air equipment on display included the Atlas Copco B7-41/1000 and B4-41/1000 Hurricane boosters. The single-stage air or nitrogen boosters offer capacities comparable to larger models in a smaller package.

PBIOS is one of the largest petroleum exhibitions in the world, held every two years in Odessa. The event showcases the latest industry technology, honors the industry’s history and brings people from the petroleum industry together.
