The Water Systems Council plans to conduct sessions of its Water Systems Primer and Refresher program at the South Atlantic Well Drillers Jubilee in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and at the National Groundwater Association convention and expo in Las Vegas.
“The Water Systems Primer and Refresher provides a great opportunity for participants to receive invaluable training from the manufacturers of the products they use on the job every day,” said Margaret Martens, WSC executive director. “Our last session in March was completely sold out, which indicates a demand for this type of training that WSC is proud to provide the water well industry.”
Jubilee’s session will be held July 25 and the session at NGWA is scheduled for Dec. 9.
The primer and refresher training course debuted at the 2013 NGWA Expo. The one-day course, a collaboration between the WSC and NGWA, covers water well basics, pumps, servicing, water quality, electrical safety and a range of other drilling and systems related topics. Company representatives presenting at these trainings include: Xylem, Franklin Electric, Flexcon Industries, 2M Company, Grundfos Pumps, Pacific Northwest Sales Company and Pentair.
Attendance is $50 per person and attendees get .575 CEUS or 5.75 CEPs, in addition to the 12th edition of the WSC’s Water Systems Handbook.
