Franklin Electric released the new C1 Series of submersible cistern pumps for use in gray water and effluent applications.
“We designed the C1 Series pumps to offer high performance and long life in less than ideal water conditions, such as pumping filtered effluent and pumping from rain catchment basins or aerating ponds,” said Kyle Lanier, portfolio manager for submersible pumps. “But the pumps work equally well in pumping from clean water cisterns in agricultural, residential, and commercial installations.
C1 Series pumps can manage solids up to 1⁄8-inch in diameter. The pump motors are built of 304-grade stainless steel and the pump features engineered polymer hydraulics to guard against corrosion. Other features include:
• Thermoplastic discharge head to minimize breakage during installation and operation.
• Removable 5-inch base for secure mounting.
• A rubber boot to protect the motor lead connection, which is secured with a stainless steel strain relief.
• Bottom suction design to maximize fluid drawdown, while not compromising pump life.
The new series comes in flow ratings of 10, 20 and 30 gpm. They have maximum shutoff pressure of more than 100 psi, and come with 115-volt, 230-volt or -horsepower motors. The C1 Series is now on sale in the North American market.
