GEFCO recently announced an integration with sister company Astec Loudon with an eye on growing capacity in the oil and gas sector under the GEFCO brand.

The integration will mean GEFCO’s Enid, Okla., plant and Astec Loudon’s Loudon, Tenn., plant will more closely share resources and talent.

“The goal of both plants is to combine our efforts so we are able to respond and react to the market in a quicker fashion,” said Aaron Harmon, president of GEFCO. “Both plants bring their own set of strengths to the table and we are excited about this opportunity and look forward to growing our business.”

The Loudon plant manufactures the GEFCO 500K vertical drilling rig and the Astec DP 2000 Double Pumper, which are both used in oil and gas exploration and production. Both plants make equipment and products for similar markets. Combined, the plants have a manufacturing capacity of 750,000 square feet and more than 300 employees.

“Our mission is to grow and prosper by designing, manufacturing and selling the most productive and dependable equipment within the industries that we serve; along with providing unequalled customer service,” said Luis Aguilera, director of manufacturing for both locations. “The integration of the Enid and Loudon facilities will allow GEFCO to provide additional products that meet or exceed our quality standards as well as our customer’s requirements through continuous improvement of our products, processes and services.”
