Thompson Pump, a leading manufacturer and supplier of portable diesel pumps, recently named Bobby Thompson the company’s Branch Manager of the Year.

Thompson was recently promoted to territory manager for an area that runs from Mobile, Ala., to Talahasee, Fla., including southwest Georgia and parts of southern Alabama. He most recently managed the company’s Panama City, Fla., location.

He directed rentals, sales and service for that location and the company’s Pensacola office. He is credited with streamlining those branches’ operations, boosting customer service across the region and topping revenue targets. Thompson also was given the firm’s President’s Award for Excellence in Health & Safety after showing zero OSHA accidents or injuries at those locations.

Thompson manufactures a wide range of pumps ranging in size from two to 18 inches and with capacities up to 14,000 gpm. The Florida-based company sells and rents its entire line to customers in sectors including public works, construction, agriculture and mining. Thompson also provides engineering and consulting services, as well as training.
