5K Charity Run
Nationally renowned Rockaway, N.J.-based geotechnical
contractor Moretrench recently fielded a team of 14 employees for the Fourth
Annual Battle of the Business 5K Run held at The Green at Florham Park, N.J.
The benefit was held to raise funds for The Children's Institute, a private
non-profit New Jersey State Board of Education program for students with
learning disabilities.
Team Moretrench averaged a time of 22 minutes and 21 seconds, earning a well-deserved 2nd place in the event's Co-Ed Small Business category, while project engineer James Myers achieved an impressive 11th place finish out of the entire field of 562. "It was an invaluable experience, running with colleagues and friends for a great cause," says team captain and senior engineer Ken Wigg.
