Foundation construction
is well underway on Copenhagen’s Cityringen subway system expansion, which
includes two new 10- mile-long tunnels and 17 new stations – 100 feet below
ground.
The Trevi division of the Trevi Group is performing a variety of ground
engineering services for the project, using a broad range of Soilmec equipment
and technologies, including a new generation of Soilmec hydromills to construct
diaphragm walls for the underground stations, cased-secant pile walls, compensation
grouting, jet grouting, and micropiling rigs.
Because the city is at sea level, all the construction is below the water line.
By using advanced technological solutions, Trevi is minimizing environmental
impacts, while maintaining high levels of project safety.
