Skanska USA’s
building business unit has announced that Brian Thomas has been appointed to
the role of vice president of operations in California. A 33-year industry veteran,
Thomas will oversee operations for Skanska’s Oakland
and Los Angeles
offices.
In this role, Thomas will support project teams and
proposals, oversee superintendent staff and assess self-performance
capabilities and best practices. Thomas previously led operations for Skanska’s
Seattle office.
“In nearly 20 years at Skanska, Brian’s leadership has increased the efficiency
of our project teams as well as project site safety,” says Bruce Holms, Skanska USA Building
executive vice president and general manager. “We are thrilled to have his
expertise in California, where he will continue to lead the charge in
operational excellence.”
Skanska USA’s
civil construction has announced the promotion of Trent Irick to Northwest
operations manager. In this role, he will lead all construction work and
project pursuits for Skanska USA Civil’s Northwest Division. Based in Skanska’s
Seattle office, Irick has more than 17 years of
construction experience throughout the western United States. “Trent is a seasoned leader who will be a key
part of our continued growth in the Northwest,” says Skanska executive vice president
Mike Aparicio. “Infrastructure needs throughout the west are increasing. Trent’s project and
people-leadership expertise will be instrumental to our business.”
