Christel Åkerman has been appointed senior vice president of
risk management at Skanska, reporting to president and CEO Johan Karlström. Åkerman
succeeds Thomas Alm, who recently retired after 30 years with the company. Åkerman
has been working in Skanska since 1994, and for the past four years, has been
at Skanska AB, working with the code of conduct and group
staff risk management.
“Christel knows risk management from the inside after being
directly involved in a number of large projects,” says Karlström. “She also
knows Skanska Group well. Christel is very dedicated and committed, and I
warmly welcome her to her new position. At the same time I will also like to
thank Thomas Alm for his invaluable achievements under more than 30 years in
Skanska.”
