Boart Longyear Ltd. announces the appointment of Matthew Burton to the position of zone manager of its Nevada Drilling Services business.

Burton and his family have relocated to Elko, Nev., from Dallas, Texas, where he worked for the global business consulting firm Bain & Co. With Bain, Burton specialized in working with oil and gas companies to improve the efficiency and safety of their well-planning and drilling operations.

“I am excited to join a drilling company with a strong track record like Boart Longyear and to be here in Elko,” states Burton. “Boart Longyear Nevada has a long history of providing premier drilling services, and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the organization into the coming years.
