Sales Southwest Inc. (VSSW) recently announced that its Albuquerque location has moved to a new,
expanded facility. The previous facility, which opened in 2000, was only 6,000
square feet, and the new building is 13,000 square feet on 2.5 acres of land.
“We are
excited about our new location and the new opportunities it affords us,” says
Kyle Pieratt, chief financial officer of Vermeer Sales Southwest. “The timing
was right for this investment for many reasons, but most importantly, for our
employees and customers. This new facility reinforces our commitment to the
marketplace and our unending desire to take care of our customers.”
VSSW
purchased the building and invested $350,000 for improvements to follow the 5S
lean manufacturing philosophy, and interactive technology and visual displays
for more positive customer experience.
VSSW opened
in Gilbert, Ariz.,
in 1989, and services the Arizona, New Mexico and Las
Vegas areas. The company provides full-service sales
and support of Vermeer-branded products, including horizontal directional
drilling systems, utility and track trenchers, mini skid steers, as well as tub
and horizontal grinders, brush chippers, stump cutters and tree spades.
