The New England Water Well Association’s 2010 Expo took place Mar. 26-27 in Marlborough, Mass. Day one began with a flurry of wide-ranging educational programs covering topics such as new regulations, salesmanship, geothermal issues, well rehabilitation and hazmat concerns. And the day was capped with a 2-hour exhibit hall preview and an after-party that featured karaoke. Karaoke is a Japanese word that apparently means “can’t sing, but gonna do it anyway.”
It was an early start on day two (thanks for breakfast, D&S Supply!), and the exhibit hall, featuring the latest offerings from many leading vendors, was open a full 7 hours. Continuing education seminars tackled health-care and Workers’ Compensation issues and more (and always popular) geothermal topics.
A 2011 calendar note: Next year’s expo will be presented at a new venue for the first time in years. The event moves north to Fitchburg, Mass.; we’ll share all the details when they become available.
