Beginning Nov. 1, 2009, the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) will offer its voluntary certification program exams for water well system contractors through computer testing centers only.

Many states use NGWA’s certified well driller (CWD) and certified pump installer (CPI) exams as part of their licensure for water well drilling contractors and/or pump installers.
