The National Ground Water Association(NGWA) and cooperating ground
water industry firms will present a series of one-day training programs, titled
NGWA Geothermal Mud Drilling and Grouting School. The first session will take place Fri., April 16 at Laibe Corp./VersaDrill in
Indianapolis.
The curriculum on grouting is designed for those engaged in
well construction and vertical closed loop installations. The hands-on
component will specifically address those competencies necessary to construct
the vertical closed loop and protect the aquifer.
The cooperating industry firms for this session are Baroid
Industrial Drilling Products, Laibe Corp./VersaDrill, and Preferred Pump &
Equipment LP.
All who register and attend the entire session will receive
a certificate of attendance. Those who wish to receive a certificate in
grouting competencies must attend the entire class, and then pass a 20-question
quiz with an 80-percent or better score. The quizzes will be scored and the
results mailed to participants following the class. Note that the certificate
in grouting competencies is different from the new NGWA Certified Vertical
Closed Loop Driller exam, which will be introduced in July.
The one-day school runs from 8:30 to 3:00, with registration
opening at 7:30. Attendees will spend most of the class outdoors, and should
dress accordingly. Lunch will be included.
To register, or for further information, call 800-898-7791,
