Permatex Bearing Mount is a non-running gel that can be applied onto cylindrical parts to fill surface im-perfections and repair worn areas. It contains no metal, but once assembled, hardens to a strength that often doubles that of a press fit. This retaining compound can be used to salvage worn metallic parts or to keep machinery running until new parts arrive. Product remaining outside the joint does not dry, allowing for clean up. For use up to 300 degrees F, its applications include refitting worn shafts and housings, repairing loose setscrews and worn keyways, and refitting worn couplings. Permatex Inc.
