The Lansas well packers from Vanderlans and Sons Inc. have many applications. They commonly are used for taking water samples from different levels in the well. Another use is to isolate sections of the well to prevent contaminates from entering the pump system. Lansas packers are manufactured with multiple layers of fabric reinforcement to withstand several hundred psi. They are made to order, in 1- to 24-inch sizes, using either carbon or stainless steel.
