The Senate has approved a spending bill for fiscal year 2002 containing millions of dollars for key New Mexico water and wastewater projects. The measure contains $6 million for projects in Bernalillo, Valencia and Sandoval Counties. Last year, Congress appropriated $3 million for projects in these counties and those funds are already being used. Belen has secured $1.09 million to install waterlines and sanitary sewer lines.
